গণতান্ত্রিক মনোভাব

প্রশ্ন : তোমার পাড়ায় গণতন্ত্রের চর্চা করা প্রয়োজন কেন?

উত্তর : গণতন্ত্র বলতে জনগণের শাসন বা মতামতকে বুঝায়। বাংলাদেশ হচ্ছে সাম্প্রদায়িক সম্প্রীতির দেশ। এখানে পাড়ায়-পাড়ায় আজানের সঙ্গে বেজে ওঠে শঙ্খ ঘণ্টার ধ্বনি। এখানে বিভিন্ন ধর্ম, পেশার মানুষ একত্রে মিলেমিশে বসবাস করি। পাড়ায় বিভিন্ন শ্রেণির মানুষের বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে ভিন্ন ভিন্ন মতামত থাকা সত্ত্বেও আমরা একে অন্যের মতামত প্রকাশের স্বাধীনতা ও অধিকারের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা প্রদর্শন করে থাকি। কোনো বিষয়ে সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণের ক্ষেত্রে বেশিরভাগ মানুষের যুক্তসঙ্গত মতামতকে প্রাধান্য দিয়ে থাকি।

* পারস্পরিক সহনশীলতার মাধ্যমে অধিকাংশের মতামতের প্রতিফলন থাকে বলে সবার অংশগ্রহণ নিশ্চিত হয়। সর্বক্ষেত্রে সমতা প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়।

* পাড়ার শান্তি-শৃংখলা বিরাজ করে।

* পাড়ায় মতভেদ কমে আসে।

* পাড়ার উন্নয়ন ঘটে।

* পাড়ার সবার মধ্যে সদ্ভাব থাকে।

* পাড়ায় সম্প্রীতির বন্ধন গড়ে ওঠে।

* পাড়ায় সবার অংশগ্রহণে স্কুল, কলেজ, রাস্তাঘাট, মসজিদ, মাদ্রাসা, বাজার ইত্যাদি গড়ে ওঠে, বৃক্ষরোপণসহ নানা সামাজিক কর্মসূচি বাস্তবায়নের মাধ্যমে পাড়ার জনস্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবেশের উন্নয়ন ঘটে।

* পাড়ায় গণতান্ত্রিক মনোভাব শক্তিশালী হয়। গণতন্ত্রের ভীত মজবুত হয়।

* গণতান্ত্রিক মনোভাব শান্তিপূর্ণ সমাজ গঠনের জন্য অপরিহার্য। গণতন্ত্র মানুষকে মত প্রকাশের সুযোগ দেয়।

আমরা বাড়ি, বিদ্যালয়, খেলার মাঠ, কর্মক্ষেত্রে সব জায়গায় গণতান্ত্রিক আচরণ করব। আমরা সবার সঙ্গে আলোচনা করে সিদ্ধান্ত নেব ও পরস্পরের মতের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধাশীল হব। তাই গণতান্ত্রিক বাংলাদেশের গণতন্ত্রকে আরও সুদৃঢ় শক্তশালী ও মজবুত করার জন্য গণতন্ত্রের সুফল বাংলাদেশের গণ্ডি পেরিয়ে বিশ্ব দরবারে পৌঁছে দেয়ার জন্য আমার পাড়ায় গণতন্ত্রের চর্চা করা প্রয়োজন।
